8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite: New Year's Smash (Jan 6)

6. Fiat vs. Ferrari

Marko Stunt FTR
AEW

This Jurassic Express/FTR interaction was similar to the Chuck Taylor/Miro segment in that the babyface side dug a hole for themselves that they might not be able to escape from.

Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood were extremely patronising here, telling Marko Stunt he was a glorified mascot who brings nothing to the table, letting Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy do his dirty work. Brodie Lee Jr. was right about him, they said. In response, Marko stood up to FTR, announcing that he'd take Luchasaurus' spot in the upcoming match with Dax and Cash so he could "beat their *ass", sealing his own fate.

"It's like a Fiat vs. a Ferrari" Dax said before Tully literally petted Stunt's head, with the heels taking their leave.

Again, the babyface got insulted into accepting a situation that doesn't benefit them in any way at all. FTR will take a lopsided victory over an under-strength Jurassic Express team without Luchasaurus, which, as bullies, makes perfect sense.
