8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Sep 23)

6. Hangman's Resurgence Continues

Hangman Page
AEW

Hangman Page vs. Evil Uno wasn't on the level of last week's clash with Frankie Kazarian, which was a great way to commence the story of Page climbing the ladder of redemption after triggering The Elite's demise and losing the World Tag Team Titles.

This was good rather than great. Uno is an underrated wrestler and a strong heel, though he didn't bring the same level of intensity as Kazarian, who looked better than ever. Still, that The Dark Order man gave Page so many problems throughout continued the story, further highlighting that Hangman's adaptation isn't going to be a smooth one. He's going to have to work for these wins.

Kenny Omega is the X factor in all this, having turned down a tag match pitting him and Page against Uno and Stu Grayson. He did a good job on commentary too, audibly debating whether or not he should assist Hangman as The Dark Order threatened to swarm, keeping their split ticking over.
