8 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (Sep 23)

5. You're Alright

MJF Chris Jericho
AEW

AEW is laying mighty foundations with these Chris Jericho/MJF segments, upon which something beautiful will soon be built.

The symmetry between the two was already established through the other week's "what a loser!" segment and this one from back in November. Last night's offering was a follow-up on the former, as both men bantered back and forth, beginning with an insincere exchange of compliments before diving into the heat. MJF claimed that he was calling their respective limo drivers losers, not 'Le Champion,' ripping into them for almost crashing into each other, while Chris re-aimed his barb at Tony Schiavone.

To be fair, Skee-a-vone deserved it. You can't expect to get away with making 'The Million Viewer Man' spill a drop of latte on his leather trousers.

Their closing line? "You're alright, Chris/Max."

This all fits in wonderfully with MJF's stable tease from last week, with the burgeoning Jericho relationship definitely something to keep an eye on. These segments don't happen without a reason.
