8 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (1 July)

1. Callis' Plan

Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers vs. Sami Callihan, Chris Sabin, and Moose was exactly how a six-man tag team match of this magnitude should be scripted. The heel Don Callis-led trio - an actual group - controlled the match for a long period, with their adversaries led by Tommy Dreamer - two of whom are set for a Slammiversary showdown - falling out as the match broke down.

It worked to great effect.

The Elite's usage of a couple triple-team manoeuvres put over the fact they can actually get along, while Moose and Sabin tagging each other in via impactful chops teased dissension from the onset of the bell. Moose attacking the former World Champion was always going to happen. The way it went down, however, was a masterclass. Sabin was on his way to victory, setting Omega up for a Cradle Shock when Moose - who had blind tagged himself in - prevented it, ordering Sabin out of "his" ring.

Needless to say, a Magic Killer to Sabin ended proceedings, moments after Moose had laid out Dreamer at ringside. Why? Because Don Callis had shoved the ECW icon into Moose's back, leading 'The Wrestling God' to assume Dreamer had assaulted him. Chef's kiss. Callis is a chickensh*t heel.

This easily would have served well as a go-home main event. Superb work.
