8 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (12 August)

The final stash of content from IMPACT's post-Slammiversary tapings aired last night, as the Anthem-helmed promotion returns to Skyway Studios this weekend for three days of tapings. There, Emergence will be taped, which was the main talking point for last night's show.

Brian Myers won a Battle Royal to earn the right to challenge either Kenny Omega or Christian Cage for the World Championship at the 20 August IMPACT Plus special. A legitimately surprising result, IMPACT could finally have Myers on track if they don't mess this up. He was superb in the match, doing his bit and then scurrying away to avoid elimination.

Other noteworthy moments included the final IMPACT appearance of Kiera Hogan. 'The Hottest Flame' was dragged away by Su Yung and Kimber Lee to signify the end of her stint in the company; All Elite Wrestling seems her next logical destination. Additionally, her former partner Tasha Steelz formally introduced new pal Savannah Evans, with their eyes set on Decay's Knockouts Tag Team Championships.

Elsewhere, Jake Something teased a heel turn, Melina confirmed she'll wrestle next Thursday, John Skyler made his official debut, and Christian Cage cut a heartfelt promo regarding his time in IMPACT.

Let's get to it...
