8 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (12 August)

Ups...

8. Beef!

Next week's Doc Gallows vs. Joe Doering match is going to rule spectacularly hard. IMPACT has always done a stellar job of producing tantalising big hoss matches. Gallows himself was involved in a banging no disqualifications match last year opposite Madman Fulton that fit this sort of billing.

This came around as Violent By Design confronted the Good Brothers backstage, with Gallows and Karl Anderson poking fun at the VBD members. When questioning which duo will be part of Emergence's World Tag Team Championships three-way (the match graphic shows it'll be Joe Doering and Rhino, for what it's worth), Doering barged past Eric Young to come face to face with 'The Big LG'.

The confrontation alone was enough to sell the match as a banger. Doering is yet to have a standout match in IMPACT, but this could easily be that encounter. The pair have had some intriguing moments during multi-man contests; one on one, it'll be Vince McMahon's wet dream.
