8 Ups & 3 Downs From IMPACT Wrestling (12 August)

1. When It Raynes

Taylor Wilde vs. Tenille Dashwood tried too hard to be something it wasn't. It never once felt like a potential feud-ender, it was a tad sloppy in places, and its aftermath was needless.

As for the match, Wilde and Dashwood wrestled a mostly technical contest in a match that needed to have far more aggression to it. Given the nature of the storyline, there wasn't room here for your wristlocks and arm drags, particularly when that arm drag is botched anyway. As the match progressed, Dashwood attempted to be more vigorous in her strikes, flattening Taylor with her corner Crossbody, but it was never going to be enough to heat the match up.

Then, Madison Rayne returned, thrusting Wilde into the ring post, and aligning herself with Tenille. A Spotlight Kick got Tenille the win before she and 'The Queen Bee' embraced post-match. Madison had retired in January to pursue a career outside of wrestling, marking this return as improbable. It's great to see her back, of course; it's just she had such a delightful sendoff from IMPACT at Hard To Kill that's now been forgotten about.
