In contrast to a tepid match earlier in the show between Baron Corbin and Tye Dillinger, the women's tag team match fleshing out Tuesday's broadcast was a fine advert for the Women's Battle Royal and synergistic with the largely excellent WWE '24' special on the historic first ever Women's Royal Rumble earlier this year.
The Riott Squad have been understandably down-voted by the court of public opinion against their Absolution counterparts on Monday Night Raw, but Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan have quietly improved thanks to the group's losing feud with Charlotte.
They fell yet again here to the supergroup pairing of Naomi and Becky Lynch, but they benefitted more from the defeat than a hollow and less-than-believable victory over the former Women's Champions.
Though the four won't have much going on at the 'Show Of Shows' (which is another gross injustice for Lynch), but at least there's no lethargy around another sort-of historic moment.
