8 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Monday Night Raw (September 25 - Results & Review)

6. Drew's Descent

Drew McIntyre The Miz

Drew McIntyre had more than just plausible deniability when it came to not saving Jey Uso on last week's show, and crucially didn't feel the need to defend his actions during a guest spot on Miz TV.

Though not yet complete, his ongoing heel turn remains very well-handled. His actions against Jey directly spoke to a man who - reasonably - hasn't forgotten the crimes committed against him. Though on-again/off-again partner Matt Riddle has been released, the company haven't ran short on babyfaces to try and get him back in touch with his inner good. The New Day being presented as a moral compass trying to keep him on the straight and narrow - idiotic Triple H-pilled references to genitalia aside - was perfect, particularly when he elected to take advantage of an Ivar attack on them for his own gains.

On a show that did a far better job of intertwining stories with one another than Friday's SmackDown, McIntyre's selfish motives were obscured during his sparring with The Miz, but much harder to hide by the end of the night...
