8 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Raw (16 Sept - Results & Review)
2. Women’s Bathroom Break Match
It’s rare to see WWE agent a bathroom break match so obviously that it might as well have had a toilet flush sound effect blaring from bell to bell, but that was how Natalya versus Zoey Stark went down on Raw.
Both women are incredibly talented and capable of having a good, competitive match. Their contest Monday night consisted of reversals, back-and-forth exchanges, countered finishers, and a series of rollups, until Nattie ended up with the pin for the victory.
There was nothing to write home about, nothing to get excited about, and nothing to even care about. There was nothing wrong with the match on its face, but this time-filler match existed for one reason, and it wasn’t to advance the compelling story of Pure Fusion Collective and its dominance over the Raw women’s division.
For a sharp contrast, watch the first three minutes of Bianca Belair versus Iyo Sky.
