8 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Oct 16)

2. Drafted (But Not Yet)

This was almost an 'Up' for the sole reason that giving Lars Sullivan a clean win over credible workers like Jeff Hardy is good for his career. WWE shouldn't be blamed for trying their best to get new stars over post-Draft, but they might want to think about the way they format brand switches in the future.

Hardy is a Raw wrestler, so why the hell was he even here?

Last week's SmackDown should've been his final outing on Friday nights for a good while. Instead, he was given another showing against Lars for...some reason. WWE even announced this on Raw like it was some must-see title match that was contractually locked in. It wasn't - someone else should've got this jobber role.

WWE shoot themselves in the foot with this sort of stuff constantly. It's hard to take the Draft seriously when the rules are ignored so shortly after the thing happens. Shorty G must've been busy on Friday or something.
