8 Ups & 4 Downs For AEW Collision (19 August)
2. Bland Filler
Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Miro is something every wrestling fan should be excited about.
On this week's Collision, though, the presence of Hobbs - and Miro, to an extent - just felt like filler to simply give this brewing rivalry a presence on TV.
In isolation, Hobbs dominating Kevin Ku and getting the submission win with the Accolade/Game Over was fine. The problem is, we'd just seen a similar short squash match already in Big Bill vs. Derek Neal.
Yes, Miro miraculously popped upon on the tron to address Powerhouse, but what really did any of this do to further this feud? Instead, the issue between Miro and Hobbs wasn't particularly progressed, and this segment was just 'there' - especially when you consider that this match at All Out is only two weeks away.
Oh, although we do now know that Miro intends to take a piss on Powerhouse Hobbs' cold, dead body...
