8 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Worlds End 2023

More love for the Continental Classic incoming.

It was no easy task for Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston to follow a fiery fight for the TNT Title, but they managed to keep fans hooked for the entire duration of their tournament final. That's a credit to both men, and to Bryan Danielson on guest comms for adding a level of authenticity to every strike, hold and bump.

Whereas Adam Copeland vs. Christian Cage felt like a fight between old pals who can't stand one another, Mox vs. Eddie had some respect to it. Kingston getting his flowers and Tony Khan penning a love letter to Eddie's fanboy-esque enjoyment of the Triple Crown stuff over in Japan was sweet too.

It's also great that this pair didn't go down the blood and guts road. That aforementioned TNT Title war had plenty of violence, and it was legit refreshing to see Moxley show he can just straight up wrestle without claret for the sake of claret.

Epic scenes, and a fitting finale to the CC.
