8 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Worlds End 2023

5. That Jumpstart Brawl

AEW Worlds End 2023 Adam Copeland

What a bit of camerawork you'll see above. It shows a bloodthirsty Adam Copeland realising what carnage he could cause with a ladder after pulling one out from underneath the ring. That sick, twisted smile followed Adam cutting Christian Cage's entrance short by ambushing him on the stage.

His attack set the tone for what was coming next and gave the match an immediate energy.

Far too many bouts on the card had lacked that before these old workhorses delivered the goods. In fact, Copeland vs. Cage came after no less than four matches that threatened to sink the pay-per-view completely, so their bloodletting ways were very much welcome. Uniondale came unglued before the bell.

Things would only get even better from there too. Shayna and Nick Wayne got the hell out of dodge during Copeland's opening volley of punches and kicks, but they'd eventually poke their noses in and work some of the bigger moments in the match.
