3. Why, Dwayne? Why?

In one of the most harrowing scenes of the movie, Mick Foley's wife and kids watched in horror as The Rock planted an excessive number of chair shots onto Mankind's head. Mick took some heavy damage, and it was revealed in the aftermath that there was only supposed to be five hits to the skull, and not 11.

Even though the backstory and coverage of that match is everywhere now, and Dwayne and Mick are good buddies until the bitter end, there appears to be a gaping hole in Beyond the Mat's narrative covering this incident. While being stitched-up during the aftermath, Foley expressed his annoyance that Rock made the choice to extend the number of shots, but Dwayne himself is nowhere to be seen.

It's understandable that Rocky couldn't stick around to give his side of the story, on that specific night. But the fact that there is not even a retrospective explanation for his actions just confused audiences into thinking The Rock was just being a dick for no reason. Whether or not the situation was more complicated than that, was something we never had the chance to discover.
