8 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Feb 11)
Downs...
4. A Lonesome Swinger
Johnny Swinger really wants to find himself a tag team partner.
He failed in his attempts to recruit Joey Ryan, which resulted in the Wrestler's Court segment that this column will never fail to talk about each and every week wherever possible, and so far, he's not managed to gain the trust of Willie Mack as his partner. It's one of those stories that no matter which way it goes, you just can't care because it's meaningless.
Impact's doubles division had the assistance of The Lucha Bros and LAX to put it back on the map, so it really doesn't need guys like 'The Swing Man' ruining things. Even if the pair do get together but don't challenge for the World Tag Team Championships, that changes nothing, other than the decision making abilities of Mack.
With Rich Swann on the injured shelf, 'Chocolate Thunder' needs to be taking this time to focus on his singles career, seeing as he's proven time and time again he's more than capable of hanging with some of the top dogs in Impact Wrestling. Not teaming with Swinger, which would be a huge step in the wrong direction.
