8 Ups & 4 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Feb 11)
6. A True Madman
For essentially the entirety of his tenure in Impact Wrestling thus far, Madman Fulton has lived up to his name of being a complete and utter mad man. The most destructive quarter of oVe never fails to find a new way to batter his opponents black and blue week in and week out, with Daga finding that out first-hand on this week's episode.
Although the gravity-defying sensation did have some flurries of offence throughout the contest, using his speed to avoid whatever Fulton tried to throw at him, it simply wasn't enough. It seems nothing is ever enough to truly stop Madman Fulton. He dropped Daga into the mat at one point with a brutal German suplex - a recurring theme on this show, it seems - and also had the help of Dave and Jake Crist at one point, who Daga easily disposed of. The distraction was decent enough, however, as Madman was able to counter some variation of a DDT into a nasty release Northern Lights suplex for the three.
As has been said previously on this column, this is exactly the sort of thing we need to be seeing from Madman Fulton, not pointless segments where he's sort of just there for the sake of it. When he's just causing chaos, either on his own or alongside the other members of oVe, Fulton is in his element. Keep it this way, and we could very well be looking at a viable contender for the World Championship further down the line.
