1. Masking A Flat Feud With Plunder

Finn Balor and Damian Priest have been feuding off and on (but more often “on”) for what seems like forever, and it finally culminated Monday night in a street fight that spanned the entire arena and included a dramatic Broken Arrow from the crowd through tables on the floor.

Described like that, one would believe Raw’s main event was a wild, chaotic brawl that served as a perfect blowoff to this months-long rivalry. However, this was a really average plunder match that relied heavily on one big spot and a bunch of weapons to mask an anticlimactic ending to an overripe feud.

Fans were into some of this, but there really wasn’t much to it beyond the Broken Arrow spot and its fallout, and the Judgment Day interference at the end. Kendo sticks, chairs, trash cans, and tables were all used during this bout, as Balor and Priest went through the greatest hits album of plunder matches in putting this one together.

There’s one thing worth praising about this match, which will come later, but the overall vibe from the main event has to be, “Thank God this feud is finally over”.
