8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (13 Jan - Results & Review)

Ups…

8. Clueless Dom

Much of the Judgment Day’s slow, interminable disintegration has been abysmal, uninteresting television for months now, just demanding the Old Yeller treatment, to be put out of its misery. But on Monday night, they happened upon a can’t-miss routine: Dominik Mysterio cluelessly dealing with a silently seething Liv Morgan.

After Morgan lost her Women’s World Championship to Rhea Ripley last week, Dom seemingly tried to reconcile with Mami, only to find himself on the receiving end of a Riptide. Fast-forward to Monday night, and Dirty Dom was apologizing with a bouquet, only for Liv to insist that she wasn’t mad and everything was fine… but Mysterio needed to get her bags – and Raquel Rodriguez’s as well – and arrange for valet service for later.

Dominik’s assessment after that encounter – “I don’t think she’s mad at all” – led to the rest of Judgment Day shaking their heads at the dopey lothario. While not high comedy or even a side-splitting segment, Mysterio being the stereotypical guy who can’t figure out his girlfriend is pissed at him and just bumbling along is almost perfect casting. It also becomes about the only watchable part of the Judgment Day at this late stage.
