8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (19 June - Review)

2. The Most Predictable Outcome

Predictable storytelling can be a good thing in wrestling – when the story is good. But when you can see the next story of a crappy clichéd story coming a week away, it’s never a good thing.

The minute Shinsuke Nakamura interfered in Ricochet’s match against Bronson Reed last week and bout between Reed and Nakamura was set for this Monday, it was plainly obvious that Ricochet would get involved and cost Shinsuke his match.

And that’s exactly what happened, right down to the same scenario of Bronson trying to throw his opponent into the man at ringside. This time, rather than a DQ, Reed outright won, leaving both Money in the Bank qualifiers lying while he stood tall.

Despite failing to qualify for a signature WWE match, it’s Reed who is getting the push here, which is fine for him long term, but it diminishes both Ricochet and Nakamura and the MITB match itself by having two participants looking like goobers.
