8 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (July 10)

1. The Match Can’t Come Soon Enough

Ronda Rousey Shayna Baszler

It's gonna be interesting to see how WWE manages to get through another three weeks of TV with this Shayna Baszler vs. Ronda Rousey feud, because Monday's booking wasn't fab. Shayna squashing Emma played before near-silence, and casting Ronda as the babyface of the piece at this stage in the game is certainly a choice.

Rousey is still getting boos from live crowds, so it doesn't really work. What is with this creative team and trying to force natural heel females into the baby role? They've done it with Charlotte Flair too often, and now they're halfheartedly trying it with Ronda too.

Quit it, please.

Neither Baszler nor Rousey has the verbal chops to keep things ticking for another handful of episodes pre-SummerSlam. Monday burned through a nearly moment brawl as well, so there isn't much left to do before the next PLE. Both must wish the match was this weekend.
