8 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Dark (Aug 18)

5. Santana and Ortiz vs. Baron Black/Tony Donati

Baron Black Santana
AEW

This was effectively a pure squash. Black and Donati got next to nothing in the few minutes they were granted with Ortiz and Santana, who didn't blitz their opponents but ran through them in quick, effective fashion.

Black was quickly neutralised by the Inner Circle men, who took him out then launched him towards his own corner, looking for Donati's tag. Nothing changed thereafter. Tony D's spirit was quickly overcome as Santana and Ortiz took care of him with minimal fuss, ending his night with a double team flurry.

Ortiz and Santana's win was exactly what it needed to be. Dark could use a few more one-sided shellackings each week.
