Video packages galore on Hard to Kill go-home show.
After a two week break during which they celebrated their best of 2019, Impact Wrestling returned to our screens for their first episode of 2020, the go-home show before Hard to Kill.
The last thing we saw from the company of the 2010s was a complete brawl between Sami Callihan and Tessa Blanchard that spilled onto the streets outside the venue, with the tension between the pair reaching its highest point as we approach their history-making World Championship match at Hard to Kill. A video package that aired on this week's Impact to further hype the match was simply perfection, as we were given a real insight into the personal lives of both competitors, and how they got to this point.
In addition, Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards faced off in singles action just a few days before their match at Hard to Kill, ODB scored her second straight pinfall victory over the Knockouts Champion Taya Valkyrie, Mahabali Shera showed everyone just how dominant he truly can be when given the opportunity to do so, and Johnny Swinger tried to drug Joey Ryan. Classic Swinger?
It was a decent episode to kickstart the new year, one that is set to be huge for Impact Wrestling. Before Hard to Kill on 12 January though, let's get to it...
