5. Where's Brock?

Regardless of what you made of Survivor Series' conclusion, one thing was certain: Brock Lesnar didn't exactly emerge smelling of roses. He was absolutely bulldozed by a 49-year-old man who hadn't wrestled in 12 years, and after 4 years of being built-up as the most destructive force in WWE history, Lesnar had been left humiliated.

Last night presented an excellent opportunity for the Beast Incarnate to immediately recapture whatever heat he lost at Survivor Series. Even if all he'd done was hit the ring, destroy a couple of security guards before demanding a rematch through Paul Heyman, Lesnar would've done much to wash away Survivor Series' stench, and put himself back on the right path.

Unfortunately, Brock wasn't even in the building. Goldberg hit the ring unchallenged, announced his Royal Rumble participation, and that was that. No development, no confrontation, no tension: nothing.

WWE will surely return to the feud in due course, but the heat between Goldberg and Lesnar will never be hotter than it is now. This was a great chance to capitalise on that, and they missed it. Perhaps it's just an unfortunate byproduct of Lesnar's limited schedule, but that doesn't reduce the disappointment.
