8 Ups & 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 21)

4. Nobody's Laughing, Vince

There are three certainties in life: death, taxes, and Vince McMahon writing awful comedy segments.

Regardless of how sanitised WWE programming has become through the PG Era, Vince always seems to find a way of worming his crude, playground-style humour into the shows, but just when you thought Gallows & Anderson's "testicle collectors" act was the end of this in 2016, a naked Enzo Amore appeared last night.

Trapped outside his locker-room, Enzo was accosted first by The Shining Stars, then Titus O'Neil, and finally Rusev and Lana. The segment provoked an endless stream of tiresome penis jokes before Rusev, angered that Enzo was naked in front of his wife, worked his way into a match with the mouthy Jersey boy.

The segment was predictably atrocious, and while Vince McMahon was probably laughing himself to death backstage, nobody else was. Such segments only reinforce the argument that Vince is hideously out of touch with his audience, and they're clearly put together for his own amusement. It gave Rusev something to do and got the Shining Stars and Titus on TV for a couple of seconds, but that's about it. This segment was absolutely brutal.
