8 Ups & 6 Downs From Impact Wrestling (Sep 29)

1. Tag Team Wrestling

From The Good Brothers vs. The Rascalz, to The North vs. Ace Austin & Madman Fulton, Impact's doubles division is on fire at the minute.

The latter match main evented this week's episode, and for good reason. It was undoubtedly the strongest match of the whole episode, with both tandems taking turns to keep one of their adversaries trapped in their corner for durations in the match. Ace and Madman really looked to be gelling well as a team here, as opposed to the typical 'small guy with bodyguard' scenario they've been in for the last few months, using a handful of tag team manoeuvres against the Canadian duo.

Ethan Page and Josh Alexander obliterated Austin towards the end of the bout with a number of stiff strikes to the jaw of 'The Inevitable', before securing the win with a Northern Assault, all while blood poured from Alexander's mouth. The real talking point began here, as both The Good Brothers and The Motor City Machine Guns joined in with the post-match brawl, which isn't the first time we've seen something like this from them.

At the time of writing, there isn't actually a World Tag Team Championships defence on the agenda for Saturday night, however, we do know that the Guns will battle Austin and Fulton next week as we approach the 24 October pay-per-view. If the rumours are to be believed, then Bound For Glory will play host to what could be considered one of Impact's greatest ever tag team matches.
