8 Ups & 6 Downs From The Undertaker's WWE Career

1. The Undertaker Of Today

The Undertaker Absolutely Sucks
WWE

And so we arrive at the present day, and the absolute worst version of The Undertaker to ever exist.

In his current form, the legendary 'Deadman' pisses gasoline on his burning legacy, serving up nothing but overly nostalgic botch-fests for the dwindling portion of the audience still able to suspend their disbelief for his dilapidated act. A once magnetic character looked genuinely lost in his weird Raw 25 promo. WrestleMania 34 was too short to be a complete disaster, but 'Taker's Greatest Royal Rumble clash with Rusev was an ugly watch that served only to appease WWE's Saudi Arabian paymasters.

Super Show-Down was even worse. At WrestleMania 34, Triple H concocted a genius match layout that made a complete rookie (Ronda Rousey) genuinely look like 'The Baddest Woman On The Planet,' and presented his non-wrestler wife as the best sh*t-heel in the game. In Melbourne, him and 'Taker drowned in their own slop.

Crown Jewel should yield a better bout, as it carries the intrigue of Shawn Michaels' return, and Kane (though he's a coffin-dodger himself) is significantly less beaten-up than his kayfabe brother. Still, this Undertaker looks embarrassing. Unable to hit anything close to his old standards, he is crushing his own goodwill, and it'll only get worse the longer he sticks around.
