8 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Raw (4 Mar - Results & Review)

1. A Sloppy Affair

Nia Jax Becky Lynch
WWE

One would think a grudge match between a world title contender and a wrestler who is in a career renaissance of sorts would translate well in the ring, but alas, it did not.

Monday’s match pitting Becky Lynch and Nia Jax against each other was sloppy and not very good – Lynch’s top-rope assaults missed horribly, and both looked to be her fault. Her missile dropkick fell short despite Jax being just a few feet from the corner. It didn’t help that Nia then flailed backward about 12 feet before tumbling out of the ring on a flying nothing. Later, Becky’s Molly-Go-Round nearly missed Jax entirely and looked more like Nia had powerbombed her.

The two stumbled about a bit at various points, looking like they were on different pages as they tried to fill time before the DQ finish.

It’s a shame: Both women are capable of better, and this is a feud that could be a B-PLE title feud post-WrestleMania. But showings like this make you want that less, and all for a DQ ending that accomplished nothing.
