5. Brand Warfare?
In case you haven’t checked a calendar lately, Survivor Series is less than three weeks away. But you wouldn’t know that from watching WWE programming, as they haven’t mentioned it once.
It’s not like we’re pumped about WWE talking about the never-ending battle for brand supremacy, as superstars who were just drafted from one brand to another suddenly don a different-colored T-shirt and fight for their new show.
But the fact that one of WWE’s “Big Four” PPVs is coming up soon and there hasn’t been a single match even hinted is just really concerning. WWE has a well-deserved reputation for not doing any long-term planning, but this is running the risk of being pretty bad, especially since they usually throw a bunch of champion-versus-champion and brand-versus-brand elimination matches out there, but nothing has been referenced.
If they’re doing something different this year, they should probably get moving on this soon.
