So it looks like WWE is moving on from Becky Lynch versus Bianca Belair in favor of some… interesting competition.

Lynch was interviewed backstage after defeating Belair, and the Raw Women’s Champion bemoaned fans booing her after she had reached the mountaintop, then said that with Bianca having to go to the back of the line, it was time for someone new to step up.

As if on cue, Liv Morgan walked onscreen, and Becky… walked off.

That’s probably the right move. After all, Morgan just lost to Carmella in three minutes last week, and in less than two minutes a couple of weeks before that in the first round of the Queen’s Crown tournament. In the last three months, Liv has won two televised matches. That’s it.

We keep harping on WWE and their lack of any semblance of long-term planning, but if they had any inkling of pushing Morgan as a semi-serious challenger to Lynch, then why in the blue hell would you book her to lose last week?

It’s because they had no idea this was going to happen probably until 90 minutes before airtime. And you wonder why this company is stagnating…
