8 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 1)

3. Return To The Ring To Lose

Maybe it’s time for WWE to ice its Women’s Tag Team Championship. They seemed cursed whenever someone named Sasha Banks or Bayley isn’t wearing them.

Case in point, Rhea Ripley & Nikki ASH won the titles in late September, seemingly a consolation prize for the duo after falling out of the running for the Raw Women’s Championship. They defended them on Raw a couple of weeks later, but hadn’t had a televised match since October 4th.

Since then, the duo appeared only in lame backstage segments, seemingly only showing up to remind people they were still the tag champs, but with no real direction or purpose.

Then, they ran afoul of Queen Zelina & Carmella, challenged them to a tag match, and then promptly lost. Yep, the tag champs lost what was just their second televised match since winning the straps six weeks ago.

It was especially noticeable how much the duo has cooled off based on the reaction from fans, who were scary silent for Ripley – a woman who seemingly was being pushed to the moon just a few months ago at WrestleMania 37.
