3. Jake Atlas Joins The Fight

Finally, it appears someone in NXT realised they needed to do something with the ever-improving talent that is Jake Atlas!

After picking up wins against Cameron Grimes and LA Knight over the last few weeks, Atlas announced himself as Mercedes Martinez's tag partner coming into her scheduled mixed tag bout against Xia Li and Boa next week.

Admittedly, his inclusion did feel a little forced as the pair had seemingly never crossed paths before agreeing to join forces last night. But, who really cares? If it means Atlas can be given something interesting to sink his teeth into and Martinez and Li's entertaining ongoing drama can trickle on for another week, then we're all for it.

Let's just hope this doesn't lead to Mei Ying breathing some funky smoke into his mug when all is said and done, though...
