8 Ups And 1 Down For WWE NXT (May 11)

Did titles change hands on this week's WWE NXT?

Last week certainly raised the bar when it came to Tuesday night main events. Shotzi Blackheart, Ember Moon, Candice LeRae, and Indi Hartwell put it all on the line in a thrilling street fight for the NXT Women's Tag Team belts. So how did the black and gold brand follow this division defining dance? By delivering another scintillating show-closer and some more Cameron Grimes million dollar hijinks, of course!

There was also the little question of just how long it would take Karrion Kross to get through his Theory-shaped meal on the latest edition of NXT. The answer: not very. But with NXT TakeOver: In Your House 2021 being officially announced as a thing earlier in the week, the show finally appeared to start regaining some of its focus as we now had a PPV to work towards. That being said, the reveal of a MAJOR title match set to go down in just a matter of weeks also suggests that those in charge aren't willing to wait a month for a bigger stage. Read into that as much as you like...

Unfortunately, a show which boasted so much good last night, as always, wasn't without its faults. It just pains your writer more than most weeks to say that said let-down came in the form of a once-mouth-watering title match turned bad night at the office. It's important to see the bigger picture when it comes to these things, though, and perhaps a mid-week misfire looks better on your record than a TakeOver turd.

Both stars will recover, much like the evening did in the end. So without further ado, let's get into who Upped their game and who let the side Down...
