8. Isaiah Swerves Ruff With A Little Help From His Friends

After weeks of violent attacks before, during, and after various matches involving the pair, Isaiah 'Swerve' Scott and Leon Ruff took things up another notch on this week's NXT. The two kicked off the night with a Falls Count Anywhere brawl and they inevitably did not disappoint.

Combining genius innovation with personal savagery throughout, the tone was set early on when Scott pulverised an enraged Ruff seconds into the match with a devastating surprise knee to the chops. The bitter rivals would then showcase their supreme chemistry in and around the CWC, warring backstage, flashing one another (with stage lights!), and throwing caution/themselves to the wind like their lives depended on it.

Yet, just when it looked like the momentum was swinging in the plucky babyface being pushed to his limit's favour, Ruff found himself caught (quite literally) off guard by one AJ Francis before being dumped unceremoniously on his neck. One JML Driver later, Scott was standing tall. But the real story here was the nature of his violent victory.

As we learned later in the night, Francis, alongside Briana Brandy and Ashante 'Thee' Adonis, have officially aligned themselves with 'Swerve', forming his entourage. Scott has been on a roll since the moment he decided to turn his back on his face ways several months ago, and the decision to give him a devious group of dedicated associates will no doubt lead to even more captivating success for this revitalised character.
