8 Ups And 1 Down From WWE NXT 2.0 (Sep 21)
2. Toxic Attraction Makes Their Intentions Known
It's been a bit of a rollercoaster couple of weeks for Mandy Rose since returning to Tuesday nights. After spending an age scouting talent and relaxing across announce desks, the star finally put her money where her mouth is and collided with Sarray in the ring, only to be left nursing a facial injury post-vicious dropkick.
This appeared to spark a fall even further into the dark side as she returned last week with... wait for it... brown hair! I know, the drama. In all seriousness, Rose spear-heading a new trio, by the name of Toxic Attraction, is a smart move. She's clearly sharpened up on the mic and can hold her own as a "loves herself" heel leader while Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne hone their craft.
Sure, the threesome's promo last night was your usual "where were you people when I needed you?" bullsh*t, but it at least ended with some purpose. Dolin and Jayne want those NXT Women's Tag Team Championships and will go straight through Io Shirai and Zoey Stark to get them next week. At least somebody is interested in the straps.
In fact, as it goes, another team may just fancy some shiny new belts too as Persia chose to interrupt Stark and Shirai's usual brand of bickering to throw herself and best pal Indi Hartwell's names into the hat. Finally, it looks like the champs are going to be put through their paces a little, and if the hot potato titles end up in Toxic Attraction's grasps, brace yourselves for a string of "I told you so" speeches, despite many of us not having a problem with the unit in the first place. Such is life in WWE, I suppose.
