8. Stephanie Takes One For The Team
One of the biggest complaints among diehard wrestling fans is that Stephanie McMahon is one of the worst villains out there because she never gets her comeuppance.
Sunday, she sort of did.
Stephanie accompanied her husband Triple H to the ring for his match against Seth Rollins. Like any good wife/valet, she interfered on her husband’s behalf a couple times, but the last attempt proved fatal. She found herself on the apron and almost got knocked off by a charging Triple H, only for him to slam on the brakes and turn around into a superkick. His momentum knocked him into Steph, which sent her flying off the apron and through a table.
The fans loved it, and Triple H was so distraught that he turned around into a Pedigree for the loss. Now, some will say that’s proof that Stephanie does get hers every now and again but this was basically her husband falling into her, not someone putting her in her place for her mouthing off or being a horrible boss.
Big difference, and not enough to wipe the slate clean. But she took a big bump for the match, and for that, she deserves credit.
