5. Finding Something For Shelton
If Shelton Benjamin is going to come to TV and be available, you might as well use him.
The veteran officially joined MVP and Bobby Lashley’s “Hurt Business” stable Monday night, taking out R-Truth to win the 24/7 Championship and then teaming with his new cohorts in a six-man tag match.
Benjamin is an immensely talented wrestler who still has enough left in the tank to contribute to the product. The fact that he’s been back with WWE for nearly three years and has been barely used for the last two years is embarrassing to the company. Even Byron Saxton nailed it when he said Shelton was bitter at being under-utilized in recent years.
Hopefully, this will lead to Shelton getting more camera time and actually being used better than the sporadic shots he’s had recently.
