8 Ups And 4 Downs From NXT TakeOver: Toronto

1. Gargano, Cole ‘Fight Forever’

What can you say about the Adam Cole/Johnny Gargano main event?

Some will likely hate the match (or at least the caged third fall) because of how they kept kicking out of increasingly vicious and violent moves. But this writer was all-in on the rising aggression and never-ending action. It was cringe-worthy (in a good way), non-stop action from beginning to end, with classic wrestling to open, a street fight in the middle, and an ECW-style caged brawl to close it out.

Both men showed their familiarity with each other by their counters, and then with how they attacked each other. If you enjoyed their earlier bouts, then this was a great conclusion to the trilogy. Cole managed to get the win, but it was a lucky break for him, rolling over after he and Gargano plummeted from the top of the cage through a table.

If you didn’t enjoy the match, that’s your loss, but no hard feelings.
