Ups...

8. Dawkins Shows Some Fire

Throughout their existence as a tag team, the Street Profits have been a feel-good, have-fun duo, and that’s perfectly fine. But sometimes, you have to show you’ve got that competitive edge, and we got that right out of the gate.

The NXT Tag Team Championship match opened with Angelo Dawkins and Kyle O’Reilly squaring off. O’Reilly made the mistake of calling the Profits a joke, and Dawkins snapped. The Curse of Greatness grabbed Kyle and shoved him into the corner, screaming, “Who’s a joke?!?” at him before patting the top of a frightened O’Reilly’s head. (Montez Ford’s facial expression of shock in the background was gold.)

O’Reilly then naturally did what any good heel would do: slap Dawkins and immediately retreat into the ropes.

It was a nice little moment that told you something about the characters, something WWE often falls short with.
