8 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 24)

1. Chamber Match Just Filler

It’s a really bad sign when everyone – critics, fans and the wrestlers themselves – view a supposedly major match as a foregone conclusion.

But that’s what the Raw women’s Elimination Chamber match essentially is. Everything is pointing to Shayna Baszler challenging Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 36. This was evident the moment the Queen of Spades attacked and bit Lynch’s neck two weeks ago.

However, before we can get to that match, Shayna has to go through the Elimination Chamber, against such luminaries as all three former members of the Riott Squad and Natalya. Asuka is the real threat, but no one thinks she’s going to win after losing two straight matches to Becky.

Even the brawl in the ring showed how insignificant the other five women are. They all fought to the outside, leaving Baszler alone for Becky to confront, with the others disappearing from sight completely.

So basically, we’re going to have a PPV match where the outcome is so obvious that everyone can go to sleep for 20 minutes. Joy.
