8 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE Raw (Feb 24)
6. Ricochet Notches Another Win
It was always a safe bet that Ricochet was going to pick up a couple victories before facing Brock Lesnar at Super Showdown, and defeating the larger Luke Gallows Monday night was a good step for him.
While Gallows is much bigger and he controlled large parts of the match, at least Ricochet didn’t look like he was lucky to pull out the win, as he hit Big LG with a flurry of moves and kept swinging away during the course of the match. He nailed a recoil and then hit a Shooting Star Press for the pin.
Also, it’s worth tossing this out there, but we’ve seen Ricochet tease deadlifting bigger opponents for a while now. In NXT, he did this regularly, as Ricochet is surprisingly strong, but on Raw, he’s been relegated to more high-flying moves than showing off a power move. It could be that they’re building to him using a power move on Brock on Thursday as a shocker. Or it could be absolutely nothing.
