Longtime readers of this column knows that jobbers are welcome on Raw for squash matches.

Jobbers quite simply are a forgotten art form in professional wrestling today. We have to have “superstars” competing in matches, but that creates a problem when you need to put over a newer act by trampling lesser performers. There’s a limited pool to draw from on your active roster without making them all look insignificant.

Enter the jobber(s).

Monday, the Authors of Pain made short work of Jean-Paul and Francois, obliterating them in seconds en route to another Raw victory. It was the perfect use of the two no-names, as they didn’t have to sacrifice the Ascension or Breezango – yet.
