8 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 25)

7. Newcomers Spark Rivalry

Aleister Black Buddy Murphy

Say what you will about how it’s come about or where it might be going, but at least WWE is trying something with Buddy Murphy and Aleister Black.

Murphy knocked on Black’s door last week, presumable to picK a fighT with him, but it never materialized. Then on Raw Monday night, Buddy challenged a returning Matt Hardy and defeated him in pretty short order with a series of vicious knee strikes. Immediately after, he called out Aleister, who didn’t waste any time.

Black charged the ring and drove Murphy outside, leaving the two at an impasse until next week, seemingly.

The budding feud might not be some hotly anticipated thing, but it’s different, and it’s basically two guys fighting because someone said fighting words to the other, and that’s good enough for now. We also should get a pretty good match or three out of it. Hopefully, they can follow the Keith Lee/Dominick Dijakovic model from NXT.
