8 Ups And 5 Downs From WWE Raw (Nov 25)

6. Rusev Finally Takes Action

Yes, the godawful Rusev/Lana/Bobby Lashley angle finally gets positive marks here.

We finally saw Rusev stand up for himself and get a measure of revenge Monday night, violating a temporary restraining order and attacking Lashley during his match with Titus O’Neil. Rusev pummeled Lashley all the way up to the stage, where police handcuffed and arrested him for violating the TRO.

But Rusev broke free and knocked Lashley off the stage, then kicked over a metal light tower onto him. That got a pretty big cheer, as fans have regularly rallied to Rusev.

While the cheers might make WWE think the angle is getting over, this fan is giving it a positive because it lacked all the Lana talk about her “relationship” with Lashley, a fake pregnancy angle, and unconvincing make-out sessions. It was just Rusev getting dinged with the restraining order, and then going guerilla and attacking his adversary.
