8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 5)

3. A Triple H Reference! Drink!

What did the Raw writers drink when they wrote Monday’s program? Callbacks to previous situations in the name of continuity and internal logic? That’s just crazy talk!

In all seriousness, hats off to the writers for leading off Raw with Seth Rollins finally doing something he should have done months ago and call out Triple H. Sure, he brought up The Game a few times immediately after he handed Kevin Owens the WWE Universal Championship during the summer, but getting revenge on the COO had faded in recent months.

Monday, Rollins acknowledged that he made some choices (forming the Shield, breaking it up to side with the Authority), but he had to face the consequences. Triple H, he felt, chose to bet against Rollins and side with Owens, and there would be consequences for that.

Unfortunately, before he can get to the great Triple H, Rollins apparently needs to go through KO (you know, the Raw champion, who apparently is a stepping stone, but let’s digress). Still, this was a solid connection to the past that gave fans a little more of a reason to cheer for Rollins.
