8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 5)

Despite the criticism leveled earlier for pitting Kevin Owens against Sami Zayn in a one-off Raw match, you have to give credit to both men for putting in a hell of an effort on Monday.

Owens and Zayn started with a pretty typical match: brawl to start, spill outside and hit a couple quick highspots to get things going. But things kicked into high gear after a commercial break, with Zayn going berserk with tornado DDTs and half-and-half suplexes, while Owens countered with cannonballs and a fisherman buster from the middle rope. Zayn looked like he had the upper hand after a couple Exploder suplexes and a Blue Thunder Bomb, but he walked into a Pop-Up Powerbomb for a KO victory.

The defeat certainly hurt any chance for momentum for Sami, but it was clear that Owens needed a hard-fought win after losing to Roman Reigns last week and getting punked by Big Show and Seth Rollins earlier.
