The New Day will have to get through two tag teams on their way to making WWE history.

After defending their WWE Tag Team Championships through dubious means the past two weeks, New Day interjected themselves into a #1 contenders’ match between Cesaro & Sheamus and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, forcing a double DQ and a triple threat title match for next week.

It’s a bit of a cop-out, but it really was the only way to do it. It’s actually fun to see New Day transitioning back to pseudo-heels as their reign reaches record length. After being goofy babyfaces, the trio have segued back to the heels who use every tactic possible to hold onto the gold.
