7. Bayley Suffers Another Setback

The reader probably saw this headline and thought it was misplaced, but it certainly is not.

NXT fans are aware that Bayley is best when she is fighting from underneath, trying to overcome the odds. She does that not by beating up jobbers week to week, but tangling with tougher opponents and either beating them or getting defeated herself. If she loses, she has to learn a lesson and come back to win, almost like a pilgrimage or a quest.

So Bayley getting mauled by Nia Jax (remember her?) is not a bad thing. Bayley can recover and work to figure out a weakness/plan of attack and try again to topple Nia. That is how you book for success. If it’s done right, you could see a swell of support for the women’s division.
