8 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Dec 17)

1. Revival Earns Title Shot

It was interesting to hear Shane McMahon say that the mandatory title rematch is outdated, tossing it aside in favor of a fatal four-way tag match for a shot at the Raw Tag Team Championships.

The logic was a little faulty – a title rematch makes sense on its face – but it did give us a proper result: The Revival emerged victorious Monday night, pinning Bo Dallas to earn a shot at Bobby Roode & Chad Gable. Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder have toiled away on Raw for a while, suffering through injuries, poor booking, long absences from TV, really poor booking, and of course, Lucha House Rules.

Other superstars, such as Seth Rollins, had taken up Dash & Dawson’s cause, wondering on TV why The Revival weren’t getting title shots. The tag team specialists aren’t the biggest guys, but they are quite good in the ring, and given good opponents, they’re capable of putting on a classic.

They more than deserve the opportunity to lead the tag division, and it’s quite possible that Roode & Gable end up being the transitional champs to get the titles to them in the coming weeks.
