3. An Anti-Pep Talk

The ongoing drama between Stephanie McMahon and Mick Foley might have been interesting or even tolerable if it hadn’t been such a horrid rollercoaster these past several months. The commissioner alternately berating the GM publicly and trying to buddy up to him has been maddening, and this week we got a “softer” side.

Stephanie acknowledged that tempers are at a high point with WrestleMania XXXIII looming, though that really isn’t an excuse for some of her outbursts. She tried to offer an olive branch of making it work, and Mick… accepted? So he’s now gone from the happy-go-lucky GM, to the “shy little girl” speech, to the sad puppy, to the fired-up besieged GM, to looking for positive reinforcement.

And of course, Steph’s pep talk was anything but. If anyone was surprised that she threw a gauntlet down at Mick’s feet, you shouldn’t be surprised.
